As any entrepreneur can tell you, getting your start-up out of the gates can be tricky...especially when it comes to legal issues.

Entrepreneurs face challenges and risks as they transform their concepts and ideas into thriving businesses. From the ground up, new companies must formulate a business plan, assemble the right management team, and secure the funding needed to establish, execute, and expand the business.

At this Building Blocks program, law firm Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth will tackle the unique legal challenges that face start-ups and entrepreneurs.

Speaker: Mark Skaist, Shareholder, Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth

Mark L. Skaist practices corporate and securities law, focusing on public and private securities offerings, venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property transactions (including technology licensing, development and distribution transactions), primarily in the high technology/information technology industries. His clients include leading private and public companies involved in network infrastructure technology, telecommunications, software and new media. Mark is Assistant Chairman of the firm’s Corporate Department.
